New software challenges BlackBerry
Jon Fortt at Mercury News. "The problem with RIM has been to date that you've been tied to the RIM hardware,'' said Rob Enderle, analyst with the Enderle Group consulting firm. Though RIM has announced that it is working to make its software work on non-Blackberry platforms such as Palm and Windows Mobile, ``they just haven't gone any place. They haven't yet been able to deliver a system that works on the alternative hardware.''
